Post subject: how to disable screen lock after resume from suspend?  PostPosted: Sep 05, 2008 - 12:53 AM

When I resume from suspend, I need to type in the password.
Is there anyway to disable that, I tried to edit the gconf-editor>app>gnome-power-manager>lock, and uncheck all the keys there.
But it doesn't work!!

And even though I was allowed to uncheck the keys, it said it's not writable!!

Help.....~

I figured that the unwritable is due to I set it as mandatary.

checking all the boxs in lock works for ubuntu, I don't know why it doesn't work in Parsix. Is it just me? or is it a bug?

Is there any other way to disable the screen lock, like by editing some configuration file somewhere? For example, in Ubuntu, you can edit /etc/default/acpi-support, to change the value of screen lock from true to false. I searched the system in Parsix, and didn't find any file named "acpi-suport". Any idea?

Thanks a lot.

how about you guys? if you go gonf-editor > app > gnome power manager > lock and uncheck all the boxes there, Does this disable the screen lock, meaning no password dialog coming up in resume after suspend?

Thanks, I want to know, is it only my problem or everybody has it.

Thank you very much, I feel better knowing that I am not the only one.
By the way, Parsix is really a wonderful distro.
I love it!
