i have installed packages for creating a pptp VPN connection (network-manager-pptp and linux-pptp) but i can not find how to create the acount.
(in ubuntu it can be created by clicking on network manager icon and there is an option for create VPN connection.)

Here its the same way. You are using Boss or Kev? you need to install all network-manager related packages including:

network-manager
network-manager-gnome
network-manager-openvpn
network-manager-openvpn-gnome
network-manager-pptp
network-manager-pptp-gnome
network-manager-vpnc
network-manager-vpnc-gnome


If planning to use pptp only, do not need openvpn and vpnc packages. When you are done, should start network-manager daemon:

ln -sf /etc/init.d/network-manager /etc/rc5.d/S99network-manager


Restart GNOME, network manager icon should be there. To completely migrate to NM, edit your /etc/nwtwork/interfaces file and only leave lo interface there.

Let me know if this fixed your issue.

I managed to install the packages (by using another computer to route the connection) and created the connection (from System>preferences>NetworkConnections) but i can not find how to connect by this connection!!!
there is no aplet that can connect and disconnect from vpn.
