Post subject: boss - 64bit flash
Hi,

Is there an updated way for flash to work with boss?

On my emachine d620, flash rarely works on youtube and never on my test site:

http://www.userplane.com/directory/inde ... main.home#

If you can get it working on the above site, please let me know how.

Thanks

I think I answered this question for you before
Remove Gnash and and its plugins using Synaptic and install Flashplayer-mozlla that is what I use with no problems at all with good fullscreen.
Also if you install gstreamer plugins you need the bad then totem will play
youtube as well,
Totem edit plugins enable youtube. then view tick sidebar now totem will search and play Youtube as well
Your chat room also works for me

Alternately, you can also install the latest flash by downloading the Linux amd64 installer directly from Adobe's website (here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ ). Simply unpack the tar.gz tarball and either run the installer, or manually copy the *.so file to the mozilla plugins directory in your home folder (/home/username/.mozilla/plugins.

About Totem I recommend that you use totem-xine instead of totem-gstreamer, it plays everything and much better... Rolling Eyes

And for Flash you should use the real 64 bits flash plugin. You can find the .deb on the debian multimedia site, section "experimental" (http://debian-multimedia.org/dists/experimental/main/binary-amd64/package/flashplayer-mozilla.php) You can download and open it with gdebi for install. Very easy, it's directly a normal debian package, a .deb, and therefore you install it easily with gdebi. (or dpkg if you prefer the terminal)

New flash-player package for amd64 in experimental(can be installed in testing and unstable).
This package contain a real 64 bits plugin.

Funny, I find exactly the opposite to be true...
