We are proud to announce that the final version of Parsix GNU/Linux 1.0r0 code name `Ramon` is available now. Parsix Ramon brings lots of improvements and new features integrated with the latest open source technologies right to your laptop and desktop computers. The main highlights are: Improved live system with new startup and shutdown scripts, new live structure, new SquashFS+LZMA compression system, updated installer system, brand new 2.6.23.14 kernel with CFS v24.1, CK, TuxOnIce 3.0-RC5, Iwlwifi and more patches, GNOME 2.20.3, lots of updated packages including OpenOffice.org 2.2.1, GNU Iceweasel 2.0.0.11, GIMP 2.4.3, glibc 2.7, Pidgin 2.3.1, Exaile 0.2.10, xFarDic 0.10.3 and more, all packages have been synchronized with Debian testing repository as January 24, 2008, new GUI X.Org configuration tool ported from Ubuntu, new attractive blackish look and feel and more.
